Website www.schoolofsocialcommerce.com is the platform of the MarieDuahr’s School of Social Commerce, an online education platform where you can find, purchase and follow the courses.
The site can collect your data. The owner is legally obliged to state which data is collected, why it is stored, how and for how long it is stored.
What kind of data is stored?
There are three main reasons we store data:
- to provide you the best possible experience on our website
- to use the website as an e-commerce platform and be able to sell you our products, and
- for our e-learning platform
What data is being collected and stored
When you contact us via the website, or leave your contact details through the website, we may ask you to provide your name, phone number, email and company details. The intention of this is for us to be able to contact you upon your request.
Unique and sensitive data
Our website and all related services do not intend to collect data about website visitors who are under 16 years old. If you assume that I have collected personal information about a minor without permission, please contact me at email@example.com, and I will delete this information. If you are under 18 and are interested in purchasing our programs, please, ask permission of the responsible adult.
We are using WooCommerce for our shop. WooCommerce as well as legal European system requires us to ask for your billing address, and your payment information may be stored as well (such as bank account number). We treat that information with additional care and safety. In order to meet the governmental requirements and European guidelines to international trade, we will ask your VAT ID when the tax discount is applicable.
Banking and other sensitive information
Our website, or our representatives will never ask you for your bank details outside of the payment process, social security number, passport number or other personal or company-related information. The only place where your bank account number is asked is during the checkout in our shop. When you request a manual payment, we will send you a payment link, but will never ask for your bank account number.
The website and emails from www.schoolofsocialcommerce.com are hosted at Neostrada B.V. When you contact us via mail, your email is stored on the servers of Neostrada B.V.
You may request to delete your emails at any moment, except when you have an active legal agreement with School of Social Commerce (you are following a course). We need that information as long as you are an active client.
School of Social Commerce does not store your data longer than is strictly necessary to achieve the goals for which your information is collected. On request, we can delete the data earlier or keep it longer. The emails you send are stored indefinitely. It may contain personal information such as your name, address and phone number. WooCommerce stores data of pending, failed and cancelled orders for 7 days. Inactive accounts and completed orders are stored for 12 months, unless you request to delete it earlier.
For our financial reports to the Dutch Tax, we store your invoices for at least 7 years post order.
For the learning progress tracking, we store data of your logging (in and out) activity to our learning platform www.schoolofsocialcommerce.com/enter
Within login tracking, as well as WooCommerce and newsletter activities, we store your IP-address. This too is a legal obligation of the European Union to international trade.
This information is stored at maximum of 6 months. If you are a returning client, the logging information older than 6 months will be removed whilst newest login attempt, both successful and unsuccessful, will be stored.
Security of your data
School of Social Commerce takes the protection of your data seriously and takes appropriate measures to prevent misuse, loss, unauthorized access, unwanted disclosure and unauthorized modification. Your data will not be shared with third parties. It will only be provided to third parties when this is necessary for the execution of an agreement with you, to comply with a legal obligation or if School of Social Commerce deems this justified to comply with a legal request/process or to protect the rights, property or safety of our company.
The website is encrypted with an SSL certificate so that your connection is private. If you have an impression that your data is not properly secured or there are indications of abuse, please contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org
Your legal rights
You have the right to view, correct or delete your data. Also, you have the right to withdraw your consent to the data processing or to object to the processing of your personal data by School of Social Commerce and you have the right to data portability. It means that you can submit a request to us to send the personal data that we hold about you in a computer file to you or another organization mentioned by you.
You can send a request for access, correction, deletion, data transfer of your personal data or request for cancellation of your consent or objection to the processing of your personal data to email@example.com.
School of Social Commerce would also like to point out that you have the opportunity to file a complaint with the national supervisory authority, the Dutch Data Protection Authority.
